Stanley is a Holstein steer and a farm favorite! He was originally intended to veal (gasp!) He grew up with miniature horses so he's not used to other cows. He comes when you call him and is an affection junkie!
Lilli is a Julianna mini-pig who came to us with a group of other animals. The farm owner lost their farm and could no longer keep them. She was a little overweight, but with a controlled diet, we got her weight down. She's still a little skittish but will come for food.
Rufus is a miniature Sicilian donkey we rescued from a livestock auction in New Jersey. He was not sold and we were told he was very skittish. We paid his vet fees and brought him up to Cobble Hill. He turned out to be a love and he's made many friends!
Layla is a female llama who we got many years ago as a companion to another llama who is no longer with us. The farmer was reducing his herd of animals so we gave her a home. She is quite the character and we love her!
Napoleon is an alpaca who came to us with the same group as Lilli. He is buddies with Rudy, the other alpaca that came here. He adapted rather quickly to the group here. All he needed was a good clipping and toe trim. He's a bit aloof but still a character!
Lavergne is a Julianna mini-pig who, like Lilli, came to us with a group of other animals. She was also a little overweight, but with a controlled diet, we got her weight down as well. She's rather friendly and enjoys scratches on her head!
MASON & WILLIS
Mason & Willis were found running loose in New Jersey. They were apparently dumped and had lived "in the wild" for over a month.
